PI was born on September 05, 1960 in Iredumi and Okoro Compound Enuwa Ile-Ife Chief and Mrs Samson Abiola-Oyatoye. He attended St Michael primary school, Ogbon Agbara, Ile Ife. He attended St John Grammar school, Oke Atan Ile Ife where he was awarded an academic scholarship from form three to form five. After his secondary education, he embarked on teaching job for a year, in a village school near lie-ife. In 1979, PI gained admission to University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University faculty of health sciences to study medicine. 

In 1983, he met his lovely wife formerly Miss Taiwo Eunice Fagbamigbe and they have been together ever since. 

In July 1984, He obtained a degree of Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences) BSc (honours) and in November 1987 he obtained the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
