Doc, you were sent to us to touch different lives and you made such an impact in all our lives. You are a Doctor to the core - you were actively engaged in promoting human welfare and social reforms, and who has no prejudice with human suffering on grounds of gender, ethnicity, religious or divisions. You lived to save lives, relieve suffering, and to help us maintain human dignity. Doc you possess the qualities of a great doctor - A great doctor is approachable, trustworthy, loyal, dedicated, thorough, a mentor, reliable, respectful, confident, calm, proficient, decisive, intelligent, interested, compassionate and caring, takes time to listen and communicate honestly and effectively with people, possess the technical skills, dedicating their working life of service to creating and preserving health. These are the qualities you truly displayed throughout your life.
Doc, we still can’t believe we are writing a tribute because of your passing to glory. Words cannot describe this moment, you touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. Your dedication to a cause was what set you apart. For every institution, groups, communities and societies you had contact with, you laid the path for others to succeed. The benefits of your hard work is a living testimony for the so many men and women you took under your wings at a personal and professional level.
Doc, you were and will always be an inspiration to myself, my husband, my family and anyone who knew you. You have left a void in the midst of us all that will never be filled. We also take comfort in the fact that you knew the Lord and accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour for that assurance we thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again.
Death is the harvest time; we reap the fruits we have sown during our lifetime. Harvest time is a time of joy for reapers but it’s a time of sorrow for those who, at planting season, used their seeds for food.
It’s harvest time and Dr Phillp Abiola has gone to reap the good fruits he sowed during his life here on earth. PI you ran the race, you fought the good fight and kept the faith until the last moment. A great general, an ambassador for humanity and for Christ, a soldier, a fighter for good cause, a wonderful father, husband, uncle, friend and mentor to us all. We love you so much but we are assured God loves you best.
We take comfort that you have slept in the Lord. Adieu until we all meet again at the 2nd coming of Christ.
